The 2011 short film The Shoe was Andre's first film which depicted a part of his life in Paris: stealing expensive shoes. Back in the day, it was normal for young Paris street-dwellers to steal J.M Weston loafers. Actor Leo Fitzpatrick illustrates this in the film alongside co-stars Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Poppy Delevingne, and Josephine de la Baume. Purple Magazine founder Olivier Zahm helped write the script for the film, which has a style reminiscent of 60's New Wave films.
