This isn't your grandmother's idea of recycling. Materiall is a project based in Brooklyn and East London which aims to innovate the way we use waste material by combining recycling with design. Their first project, Materiall#1, launched when the founders came across 100 hides of automobile leather that were set to be discarded. But why throw it in a landfill, they thought, when it could be re-purposed and made into beautiful accessories like tote bags and wallets?
