Ben Gorham is the most unlikely perfumer, but that's what makes his Byredo line so appealing to creative and fashion types. Based in Stockholm, Gorham used to play professional basketball and is covered in tattoos, a far cry from the typical image of a perfumer, but his sharp nose and keen sense of design led him to create a line of fragrances that are acclaimed by amateurs and experts alike.
Summer pick: Rodeo - though leather is not a scent associated with summer, the light fragrance is inspired more by a midwestern ranch than an antique cigar room.
