Shoshana gets in, and shortly thereafter, a boho-chic angel sashays into the lobby (spoiler alert: it’s the lip goddess, Lauren Abramowitz) and whisks us into a lovely, light-filled room that’s both larger and far more chic than my literal Manhattan home. I instantly feel less nervous once Lauren starts talking - she’s super chill and has ~calming vibes~ and I’m readier than I’ll ever be.
9:25 am
After some initial consultation-y chats, Shoshana gets in the chair first. Unlike me, this is not her first rodeo so she’s eager AF. I look on as Lauren works the needle with precision around Shoshana’s lips, massaging the filler for uniformity and using a red light contraption to locate veins in the process - this allows her to avoid hitting them with the needle, which from my understanding is a main cause of bruising.
