"Best 2K I Ever Spent" Girls & Boys Show How To Stand Out In A Crowd At Webster Hall

by Mara Siegler · April 25, 2011

Guests at this week's Girls & Boys at Webster Hall were attention hungry. With a body-to-body packed house, it can be difficult to stand out. Here's how to make sure you grab eyeballs and get photographed no matter how big the crowd:

Scream as loud as you can in the photog's face. They'll snap you just to make you shut up.

Almost hit the photog. He'll want to make sure he has a shot to show the cops. Try and make sure that the guy to your left isn't making a crazy face and the guy to your right isn't giving the double bird. It will and does take attention of of you.

Some people who decide to go the violence route, really go with it. We do not recommend pretending to murder someone. This is New York. Instead of drawing attention everyone will just look away and continue on with their own life. No one wants to get involved. Bad idea.

Instead, use props to your advantage.  Sunglasses at night are one option.

But they are no fail safe. Get creative with it. Nothing says, "Hey, look at me. I am the coolest person in here," than a stuffed traveling gnome. You totally want to hang out with these guys, right?

The one guaranteed way to stand out in a crowd is to do it literally.

Just make sure no one does it better than you.
