Set in New York, Bright Lights, Big City tells the story of a nameless protagonist. Fact checker at a renowned magazine and avid cocaine-user and party animal, the broken-hearted protagonist drowns his sorrows in the bliss of substances and NYC's splurging lights. Fact checking by day, fact blurring by night, he embodies a desolate paradox that may be more relatable than it seems.
