Our favorite part of Brooklyn has some of the oldest streets and has maintained the 19th century vibe while new developments rise up around it. Take a walk around the tiny area that was once an Irish settlement and have brunch at Vinegar Hill Inn, where chef Mike Poiarkoff will woo you with farm fresh eats in a wood-fired oven. There's a private garden in the back with a cherry tree, and will open once the weather gets warmer.
