The 28th Annual Mermaid Parade took place at Coney Island this past weekend. It's a Brooklyn institution and a crowd favorite for many residents and visitors. It can bring out any and everyone's inner Ariel. Here's some courageous people that rocked the aquatic get-up to the fullest.

There's really no limit to the amount of gems you can use to light up an already-bejeweled face. These gals went color-coded. Body glitter is another accessory that got plenty of action at this parade and that was said in the most appropriate way possible.

Perhaps he's a Rayban'd fish in a fishtank or was inspired by Gary Busey's VMA outfit.
