Last night Le Fooding held a preview dinner at the Vinegar Hill House in Brooklyn. Enjoying the fall evening weather, diners including Daniel Boulud, David Chang, Katie Lee (Joel?) and Waris Ahluwalia delighted in some lighthearted whimsy, donning balloon hats at they tasted octopus, tarte flambe, greens and an entree choice of country chop or trout. Seated at wood tables both inside and on the patio, Petanque games aided digestion, as did the flowing Veuve Clicquot. The first stateside appearance of the French gastronomic movement, today and tomorrow 6 New York and 6 Parisian chefs shall practice their craft at the P.S. 1 Contemporary Art Center to benefit charity.
