Aid for AIDS International’s (AFAI) year-end MY HERO AWARDS honor innovators and activists in the ongoing fight against HIV/AIDS. The 2010 MY HERO AWARDS recipients are Professor WILLIAM HASELTINE, a leader in the international effort to use human genes to battle the AIDS virus; and Grammy-award winning salsa singer/actor/activist RUBÉN BLADES, who will be honored for his unrelenting commitment to raise awareness in the fight against AIDS. The star-studded event will feature a special performance by Mambo Blue and Cucu Diamantes, as well as a silent auction.
