Mary Tyler Moore and Bernadette Peters will host the twelfth annual BROADWAY BARKS, a star-studded dog and cat adopt-a-thon benefiting New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies. Moore and Peters will be joined by many favorite Broadway stars, who will present the animals for adoption. BROADWAY BARKS will feature a sampling of potential pets from several New York City animal shelters and adoption agencies, including AC&C, Adopt A Boxer Rescue, Animal Haven, Anjellicle Cats Rescue, ARF, ASPCA, BARC, Bideawee, Bobbi & the Strays, Cascade Beagle Rescue, City Critters, Humane Society of New York, Husky House, KittyKind, Long Island Greyhound Rescue, Loving Touch, Manhattan Valley Cat Rescue, Metropolitan Maltese Rescue, Mid-Atlantic Great Dane Rescue, North Shore Animal League America, NYC Siamese Rescue, Pet-I-Care, P.L.U.T.O. Rescue of Richmond County, Russell Refuge, SaveKitty Foundation, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Stray from the Heart, Tigger Foundation, and Urban Cat League. Representatives from these organizations will be on hand to offer educational information on spaying and neutering. Peters will be signing her new children's book, Stella Is a Star!, at the event. BROADWAY BARKS will also feature an auction of celebrity-autographed memorabilia. Proceeds from the auction and other donations received during the day will benefit the attending shelters and adoption organizations.
