On Wednesday, November 10, 2010, the Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) will host the Princess Grace Awards Gala at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City and present 21 Awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film, as well as present the 2010 Princess Grace Statue Award to Anna D. Shapiro, winner of the 2008 Tony® Award for Best Direction of a Play. Additionally, PGF-USA is proud to announce that Denzel and Pauletta Washington will be co-honored with the Prince Rainier III Award in recognition of their outstanding careers and contributions to the arts. Entertainment for the evening will include a performance of diverse dance styles by past Princess Grace Award winners created especially for the Gala and dancing after dinner to DJ Clockwork. PGF-USA commissioned renowned jewelry and sculpture artist Alex Soldier to create the 2010 Princess Grace Awards, which will be bestowed onto the Awards recipients at the annual Awards Gala. The Gala will take place in the presence of Caroline, Her Royal Highness The Princess of Hanover.
