Sotheby's will auction the oldest and rarest Macallan ever and a one-of-a-kind Lalique decanter, the Cire Perdue, with all of the proceeds going to charity: water, a non-profit that provides safe drinking water to people in developing nations.
Global interest in the auction is high as whisky is gaining as an investment, rivaling wine, and easier to store.
