Description 
The Brain Injury Association of New York State is pleased to announce its Third Annual Journey of Hope Gala on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the Prince George Ballroom in New York City. Proceeds will benefit the Brain Injury Association of New York State. The Journey of Hope Gala benefits the many life-changing programs and services provided by the Brain Injury Association of New York State which assists individuals with brain injury and their families and promotes prevention. The Brain Injury Association of New York State is the premier support and advocacy organization assisting New Yorkers with brain injury and their families. This gala is the Brain Injury Association of New York State’s major annual fundraising event, raising much needed funds to continue its mission. Honorary Co-Chairs Penny Marshall and Lorraine Bracco, motivated by their own experiences supporting a friend with a traumatic brain injury, have generously committed their time and energy to support the Journey of Hope Gala and the Brain Injury Association of New York State. This year, Dr. Mary Hibbard from New York University/Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation will receive the Champion Award, Daniel Trush of Daniel’s Music Foundation will receive the Victory Award, Elliot Finkelstein and Family will receive the Family Philanthropy Award, Sergeant Jeannette Arroyo, U.S. Army (Retired) will receive the Hero of Hope Award and John P. Ferrantello of John P. Ferrantello, P.C. and Anthony Ferrantello of AVF Development Corp. will each receive the Corporate Citizens of the Year Award. Mary Ellen McCooey and Bradley Van Nostrand are the Gala Co-Chairs. David Ushery, Anchor, WNBC 4 New York will be the Master of Ceremonies for the evening. The cocktail reception and silent auction for this gala start at 6:30 p.m., followed by the award presentation and dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $300 each.
