St. Georges Society will present the first Anglo-American Cultural Awards, a two-part gala: live performance and dinner. 6:15 p.m. Wine Reception at Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. 7:00 p.m. JAMES GOLDMAN & STEPHEN SONDHEIMs Evening Primrose performed at Gerald W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College. 8:30 p.m. A gala dinner on top of the Hearst Tower: Awards to Harper’s Bazaar Editor-in-Chief GLENDA BAILEY and Tony and Emmy Award winner Tony Walton. "Evening Primrose" Information: An A-list cast led by CANDICE BERGEN and directed by Academy, Tony and Emmy Award winner and evening honoree TONY WALTON will present the North America debut of JAMES GOLDMAN and STEPHEN SONDHEIM’s Evening Primrose - based upon the short story by JOHN COLLIER. Evening Primrose will star CANDICE BERGEN, SEAN PALMER, WILLIAM DUELL, JOHN WINDSOR CUNNINGHAM, JESSICA GROVÉ, JOHN CUNNINGHAM, and dance legends CARMEN DE LAVALLADE, FREDERIC FRANKLIN and SONDRA LEE (full cast to be announced.) Dinner/Awards: The dinner will feature appearances by ANGELA LANSBURY, ALAN CUMMING and JIM DALE. The St. George’s Society has asked Walton and Bailey to select & present grants from the Society. The winners are Tony-Award winner CHRISTINE JONES and writer ALFIE BARRETT - chosen by Walton and Bailey as flourishing talents in their fields. Tickets for the Anglo-American Cultural Awards range from $275 (theater only) to $750 (includes the show, gala dinner/cabaret) to Grand Sponsor tables at $15,000.
