A rare chance to step inside the most distinguished and stylish homes in New York.
On Saturday, October 23, the New York Junior League (NYJL) will offer more than 600 participants a rare opportunity: to step inside some of Manhattan’s most stylish homes as part of the 16th Annual NYJL Fall House Tour.
Presented in partnership with Ralph Lauren, Miele, Sub-Zero, GE Monogram, Electrolux, Desiron Gallery and the A & D Building, the Fall House Tour showcases elegant and stylish homes in Manhattan’s most sought-after neighborhoods, and affords attendees the opportunity to view the work of Manhattan’s top architects and interior designers. Among the homes on the tour: a pied-à-terre designed by Jim and Phoebe Howard for Erica and Harry, the central characters from Nancy Meyers’s 2003 romantic comedy Something’s Gotta Give, with a color palette driven by the apartment’s inescapable exterior views—a Manhattan skyline awash in soft blues and silvery grays—and a contemporary apartment overlooking Madison Square Park designed by Gail Shields-Miller of Shields and Company and adorned with simple, but large crown moldings, baseboards, custom millwork pieces with aged finishes, and furnishings, and includes pieces by renowned artisans Wendell Castle and Rubin Harris.
The post-tour reception at Ralph Lauren Home—not usually open to the public—will feature a silent auction where guests can bid for luxurious items and hear from featured designers and decorators. All net proceeds raised from the Fall House Tour will benefit the many community impact programs supported by the NYJL.
