| Description |
Gallant will premiere her Synopses, a dance/music project with music by Lisa Bielawa. The Isadora Duncan dances on the program are two rarely seen 1914 works, Grand Marche, to music by Schubert, and Reflets D'Allemagne, three contrasting waltzes to piano music by Florent Schmitt. The dances were created during Duncan's year at Bellevue outside Paris, following the tragic deaths of her children. All music on the program will be performed live.
