Chelsea Market’s legendary specialty food shop, Chelsea Market Baskets, will open its storefront for the first time for a night of guided tastings of international and local artisanal products. This evening of education and indulgence will also introduce its customized Mother’s Day Basket, with the proceeds benefitting The Sylvia Center. A not-for profit organization, The Sylvia Center’s programs inspire children to eat well through its unique culinary curriculum. In addition to the tastings and demonstrations, Chelsea Market Baskets’ owner David Porat will provide guests with a behind the scene tour of his unique products, an unusual glimpse into the art of gift basket making.
