I knew the dame was trouble from the minute she walked into my office.
Inhaling a faint hint of cheap chinese opium from her neckline I told her I wasn't accepting new clients. These days all you get is vengeful wives and lonesome outcasts trying to track down a long lost brother. It was time to get out of the business and I knew it.
"McNally," she said. "Together we're gonna tear the sheets of this rathole we call Gotham."
"Oh yeah," I challenged, "how's that?" I would've kicked her to the curb right then and there, but then I realized there was some charm, some sweet smoky presence to her voice....something familiar.
"There's a secret meeting between all of the kingpins of Gotham, the insensitive billionaire's and the corrupt politicians. I hope you're not shy or squeamish, because to blend in you'll have to be scantily dressed," she told me.
And then I realized she wasn't who I thought she was...........
