"KORIFEI!" - Great Singers of Russian Opera honoring the 100th Anniversary of International Women's Day

International Concerts, a not for profit organization, will present ’KORIFEI’ (meaning the best of the best) - two Gala Concerts in honor of the 100TH ANNIVERSARY of INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY. Star singers appearing in the concert are major artists from the BOLSHOI THEATRE, RUSSIA; MARIINSKI THEATRE, RUSSIA, METROPOLITAN OPERA (including the fabulous Bass, RENE PAPE, who is currently appearing at the Met in the new production of BORIS GUDONOV). (See artists on brochure listed below) The concert dates are: Sunday, March 6, 5 pm, at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center; And Friday, March 4, 7:30 pm at the Strathmore Music Center. This special event will be one of the first major classical concerts in this country honoring International Women’s Day and it will give important visibility and prominence to the holiday. A portion of proceeds from the event will benefit Women’s Health Organizations.
