Aperitivo with the Winemaker: Wines of the Veneto with Giovanni Ponchia

The Veneto, which is comprised of towns such as Soave, Venice and Verona, is an enchanting region at the foothills of the Alpines. It is the setting of Romeo & Juliet, perhaps the most romantic story ever told. During the month of May, Eataly is proudly featuring and highlighting wines from Soave. Class will consist of a tasting of five Soave wines from 2 of the region's most prominent producers: Cantina del Castello and Le Albare. The tasting will be led by the enologist for the Soave Consortium, Giovanni Ponchia. Il Signor Ponchia will be visiting Eataly from Soave and has offered to teach this very special class. Wines will be paired with the Chef's selection of salumi and formaggi misti. Class will be complete with tasting notes and recommended recipes to take home.
