Over the last seven years, House of the Roses has brought the gift of joy, confidence, and positive self-expression to thousands of at-risk children in New York City.
Through weekly dance workshops, the dedicated volunteers of House of the Roses provide continuity, structure, acceptance, and sheer fun to more than 200 children at five homeless shelters and community centers across the city.
During these troubled economic times, when unprecedented numbers of New York City’s children are facing homelessness and when public funding for arts education in our schools is drying up, the creative outlet that House of the Roses provides is more important than ever.
We need YOU to keep this important program going!
Please join us for our annual House of the Roses Gala on May 2, 2011. You will enjoy an open bar, a DJ, and a Silent Auction. You will delight in original posters created by the children of the House of the Roses, capturing the surprise theme of this year’s Roses are Dance Concert. You will take part in building a very special ’House of the Roses’. Most importantly, you will make a great contribution to a worthy cause. Come join us, and be inspired.
