| Description |
A special cocktail celebration and fundraiser will be held on May 18 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at The Sea Grill, Rockefeller Plaza, to celebrate and recognize ocean conservation advocacy in all its forms.
Honoring several individuals with Ocean Advocate Awards in recognition of their contribution to ocean conservation:
Roz Savage- British ocean rower
Halsey Burgund- musician and sound artist
Jerry Moran- photographer
David Guggenheim- marine scientist, also known as 'The Ocean Doctor'
MSNBC National Correspondent Contessa Brewer will emcee the evening. Two generations of the Cousteau family will be part of this special cocktail celebration and there will be a sneak preview from an upcoming film tribute to Jacques Cousteau. WRI will present findings from its Reefs at Risk Revisited analysis. A celebrity chef will oversee the evenings menu.
It will be an inspiring evening. Tickets are $250 each, with funds raised going in part to WRIs coral reefs work, which the Tiffanys Foundation has so generously supported.
