The American Friends of Sheba Medical Center will celebrate an afternoon of fashion, friends and philanthropy at a special Charity and Couture event on Monday, May 16th at The Pierre Hotel, 2 East 61st Street. Designer Trunk Shows begin at 11:15am with lunch, discussion and Couture Fashion Show to follow.
The Designer Accessory Trunk Shows will feature a Giuseppe Zanotti shoe exclusively designed for Sheba. At 12:15pm, lunch will be served. After the discussion by Board Certified Podiatric Surgeon “Podiatrist to the Stars” Dr. Suzanne Levine, there will be a Couture Fashion Show featuring designer Mira Zwillinger.
Basya Lowinger and Barbara Silber will serve as co-chairs. The event will be presented by Inge Rennert, Ranee Bartolacci Meir, Daphna Cramer, Mitra Damaghi, Marie-Chantal Klausner, Marie-Solange Ladenius, Rachel Rudin and Judy Lefkowitz.
Over 330 guests are expected including Nina Rennert Davidson, Ann Bialkin, Denise LeFrak, Judy Baron, Stephanie Foster, Pamela Keld, Jill Lambert, Nina Libeskind, Nazee Moinian, Carol Olshan, Mimi Pearlman, Rachel Rudin, Cela Safra, Paola Scholhof, Simcha Stern and many more.
Proceeds from the Fashion Show will support the Women’s Hospital and the Children’s Hospital. Founded in 1948 with the State of Israel, Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer was established by David Ben-Gurion as the Hospital For the Israel Defense Forces. Six decades later, Sheba is the most respected and largest hospital in the Middle East; a place of compassion , treating 1.5 million Israeli, Arab and Palestinian patients a year. Sheba doctors have led missions of healing to the devastated peoples of Haiti, The Congo, Peru and Central Asia.
