The Glamazons "The Big Girlie Show"
’The Glamazons’ are strong, sexy, voluptuous women who can sing and dance up a storm with their ’pop burlesque’ style. The group consists of Meryl ’Lady’ Finger, Laura ’Caramella’ Johnson, Shanna ’Red Velvet’ Sharp, Megan ’Sugar Cones’ Allen and Katie ’Honey Bun’ Cass. They have an unbelievable dynamic, especially when it comes to tight harmonies and precision choreography.
’The Glamazons’ started performing in 2001 in NYC clubs including CBGB’s, Fez, The Roxy, Webster Hall, The Supper Club and The Rainbow Room. In 2007, they rocketed to the Top 8 of NBC's ’America's Got Talent’, being the only singing group left in the finals! Their touring highlights include; Italy, Key West, Los Angeles, New York City, and Branson, Missouri. They were televised singing the "National Anthem" for the NFL's Minnesota Vikings game in 2008 and were fashion campaign supermodels for Torrid, a trendy plus size clothing company, which included ads in Bust, Seventeen, and Glamour Magazine. The girls have been seen on Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider, WNYW’s Good Day New York. WPIX’s CW 11 morning news, and WNBC’s LX New York. In 2010, they were featured on the Style network’s show ’Whose Wedding is it Anyway?’ as they toured the east coast promoting their album and planning Lady Finger’s wedding! The girls also opened for Joan Rivers at Milwaukee’s Gay Pride and appeared at The Shubert Theatre on Broadway for a benefit for Disney’s ’Only Make Believe’ foundation hosted by Sir Ian McKellen.
