The Huffington Post and AOL are proud to announce the 2011 Game Changers, a celebration that will take place at the Skylight Soho, located at 275 Hudson Street, New York City, on Tuesday, October 18th, 2011, from 7 PM to 10 PM.
As innovation has been an integral part of Huffington Post’s DNA, the 100 Game Changers Award Winners are visionaries and leaders who have changed the way we look at the world and the way we live in it. Whether standing front and center in the spotlight or working under the radar, they have had a game-changing effect on their fields -- and inspired others to follow in their footsteps.
The categories include Politics, Media, Entertainment, Culture, Style, Green, Business and Technology, Sports, World, Food and Travel, Education and Impact, and Healthy Living.
The Ultimate Game Changers, a group of 12 top influencers, will be chosen through a public vote, in each category, on the Huffington Post website. Andrew Cuomo, the New York State Governor; Kelly Meyer, the co-founder of the Women’s Cancer Research Fund; Tim Shriver, Chairman and CEO of Special Olympics; Tom Freston, the Chairman of the ONE Campaign; Kim Kardashian, a businesswoman and television personality; and the celebrated 1973 models of Versailles, presented by Iman, will be honored during the ceremony, among others.
