The Cinema School (TCS), the nation’s first film high school
announced today it will honor Joel Klein, CEO of News Corporation’s Education Division and former NYC Schools Chancellor, at its very first Benefit Fundraiser at The Standard, New York. TCS, marking third year as a
NYC public high school, anticipates the event will raise the funds necessary to operate its Film Program for
the entire 2011-12 school year.
Hosted by the non-profit Ghetto Film School, GFS Founder and President Joe Hall, Board Chairman Greg
D’Alba (EVP & COO, CNN) and Board Directors Rachael Horovitz (Producer, Moneyball) and Evan Shapiro
(President, IFC TV and Sundance Channel) will be joined by Adrock (Beastie Boys), DJ Questlove, Adrian
Grenier, Sarah Jones, Carole Radziwill, Steve Nash, Katherine Oliver (Commissioner, NYC Mayor’s Office
of Media & Entertainment) and additional names to be announced.
