Virginia Willis is more than a chef - she's basically a super hero! After graduating from L'Academie de Cuisine and LaVarenne, she worked for chefs and cookbook authors Nathalie Dupree and Anne Willan, served as the TV Kitchen Director for Bobby Flay and Martha Stewart, traveled the world as the Executive Producer of The Discovery Channel's 'Epicurious', launched My Southern Pantry - her own line of food products - and made a name for herself as one of the South's most talented food writers.
Her first book, Bon Appetit, Y'all! was nominated for the IACP Best American Cookbook award and vote the Comfort Food Book of the Year! It's no doubt that her latest book, Basic to Brilliant, Y'all! will receive the same recognition, having already received glowing praise from Dorie Greenspan, Frank Stitt, and Bobby Flay.
Join us at CITY GRIT to celebrate the launch of Basic to Brilliant, Y'all as Virginia and Sarah join forces in the kitchen to serve a five-course dinner featuring dishes from her new book!
Menu includes:
Mini Country Ham Cheddar Biscuits with Honey Bourbon Butter
Shrimp Rillettes on Fennel Flatbread
