Description
Mega club creators behind the brands Polly Esther’s and Nerve Ana, Robert Watman and Tim Ouellette, are re-introducing New York City’s iconic club, Culture Club, to a new Midtown location this fall. The world’s one and only ”80s and ”90s inspired dance club is coming back to the future with four floors of dancing, offering club goers an opportunity to live or relive the decade of their choice. Featuring Saturday Night Fever dance floors, oversized Rubik’s Cubes, original tour memorabilia from Debbie Gibson, homage’s to Bon Jovi and larger-than-life images from classic movies such as Breakfast Club, Top Gun and Risky Business lining the walls, Culture Club is New York’s super club taking locals and visitors alike back to the extravagant fashions of the ”80s and ”90s. If Michael J. Fox is not on the dance floor, then you can certainly see his Delorean flying through the walls of the club and right by Bon Jovi’s guitar. “Everything about the ”80s was over-the-top and that’s how I envision Culture Club,” says Watman. “My goal is to serve those who did not grow up in the ”80s and those who want to relive the era when everything was just a little bit bigger, louder and brighter.” Perfect for singing along to your favorite music from the ”80s and ”90s, Culture Club will feature four different DJ’s on each floor of the club spinning your favorite songs from both decades and more, as well as live performances from 1980’s icon and partner of Culture Club Debbie Gibson and other live acts on special Saturday nights. In addition to endless nights of singing and dancing and in true New York fashion, Culture Club has joined forces with high-end Fashion Designer Nanette Lepore to design the staffs uniforms and ensure they are offering the club’s oldies-themed cocktails, such as Purple Rain and the Gibson Girl, in style.
