"A Concept in Motion" a series of vibrant new mixed media works by acclaimed Westhampton artist Steven Colucci will be unveiled at a reception for the artist at the Belenky Brothers Gallery, 91 Grand Street, New York 10013 on Friday February 10 & Friday February 17 from 6 pm to 9:30 pm. The exhibition is curated by Jacquelyn Lipp. The evening will benefit American Friends of Herzog Hospital. An accomplished artist, professional dancer and mime, Steven Colucci has hadlifelong pursuit of the arts. Born in New York City, Colucci studied at the School of Visual Arts. He went on to Paris to study pantomime and ballet under the tutelage of the world-famous dramatic movement artists Marcel Marceau and Etienne Decroux. As a classically trained ballet dancer Colucci performed in front of thousands while traveling throughout Europe and the United States for 20 years. Today, Colucci is an accomplished painter whose work has been shown at National Arts Club in Gramercy Park, the Grant Gallery and Belenky Brothers Gallery in SoHo and he has been featured as a guest artist at MoMA. In the fall of 2008, Colucci launched Colucci Couture, a line of evening gowns and dresses featuring his original artwork. The Belenky is at 91 Grand Street in SoHo.
