Oscar® fans in New York will be the first to see the actual Oscar statuettes that will be presented to the Best Actor and Best Actress winners at the 84th Academy Awards on Sunday, February 26th. The Best Actor Oscar awarded to Michael Douglas in 1987 on behalf of 'Wall Street' will also be on view.
The statuettes will be part of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ ’Meet the Oscars, Grand Central’ at Vanderbilt Hall in Grand Central Terminal. The exhibition will open on Wednesday, February 22nd, with an opening ceremony hosted by the Academy. Admission is free and open to the public.

Public viewing hours are Wednesday, FEBRUARY 22, 10-7 pm, and Thursday through Sunday, 7 am - 7 pm.
’Meet the Oscars, Grand Central’ will give movie fans the opportunity to have their photo taken holding an actual Oscar statuette. In addition, the exhibition will feature a display of Oscars in various stages of completion, as manufactured by R.S. Owens & Company in Chicago.
Academy Awards for outstanding film achievements in 2011 will be presented on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on the ABC Television Network. The Oscar presentation also will be televised live in more than 200 countries worldwide.
