chouchounette is proud to partner with Shanley Knox, founder of the Nakate Project, to host a charity trunk show.After she visited Uganda’s Luwero district, Knox was inspired to take action. The Nakate Project was formed and named after an HIV positive, orphaned 7-year-old named Cossy Nakate. It’s Cossy’s incredible spirit, that fuels this fashion-forward project and desire for Shanley to assist women in under privileged rural areas to hone their craft to create a means to survive and provide for their families.The Nakate Project empowers women to work, and also supports sustainable style for women who have no other means.
