2012 Coney Island Mermaid Parade & Mermaid Parade Ball

The 30th Annual Coney Island Mermaid Parade, the largest art parade in the United States, takes place June 23, 2012 starting at 2 PM. The parade celebrates “the sand, the sea, the salt air and the beginning of summer, as well as the history and mythology of Coney Island, Coney Island pride, and artistic self-expression”. The Mermaid Parade is followed by the The Mermaid Parade Ball at the New York Aquarium starting at 7 PM featuring a DJ set by Moby. Tickets are available to purchase now (21+).
