Contemporary art collectors should start making some extra room on their walls since Visual AIDSʼ popular Postcards From the Edge benefit event is right around the corner. Postcards From the Edge is predominantly known as one of the highlight benefits from Visual AIDS, where the public has the opportunity to purchase original pieces of artwork by both established and emerging artists for only $85 each. The 15th annual event will be held from January 25-27, 2013 at Sikkema Jenkins & Co. gallery, located at 530 W. 22nd Street in New York City. The Preview Party will be held on Friday, January 25 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Admission is $85.00 and includes 2 raffle tickets for the chance to win first choice of any postcard. The evening will also include a silent auction of art and VIP passes allowing the highest bidder to bypass the line on Saturday morning. Visual AIDS utilizes art to fight AIDS by provoking dialogue, supporting HIV+ artists, and preserving a legacy, because AIDS is not over. Visual AIDS is the only contemporary arts organization fully committed to HIV prevention and AIDS awareness through producing and presenting visual art projects, while assisting artists living with HIV/AIDS. We are committed to preserving and honoring the work of artists with HIV/AIDS and the artistic contributions of the AIDS movement.
