Obviously, the problem is nuanced, the lines are 'blurred' but do you think there can ever be a solid solution?

The Greek system is a powerful brake on progress and really needs a revolution. It serves universities’ purposes by offloading the responsibility of room and board for many students, but it also makes it impossible for schools to address some of the most egregious excesses that give rise to sexual assault (because many frats are officially “off-campus”). By Greek tradition only frats (i.e., not sororities) serve alcohol at parties. So frat brothers have more de facto power over all students’ social lives than any other institution on campus. And frat alums exert financial pressure on schools to leave the current system as is. Even at schools like Yale, where frats do not hold so much sway, they are still a catalyst for sexist rhetoric and behavior. There is no question that what Harvard is doing—co-educated their frats and final clubs—is an important step.
