The Dos And Don'ts Of Being A NYU Freshman

Sep 6, 2011 11:07 AM

Autumn in Greenwich Village means leaves falling off the trees, less homeless people, and above all a serious infestation of NYU students. Not only are they students, but they are (god forbid) freshman, most of whom have never visited, let alone lived in, New York City. So, as a recent graduate of this collegiate facility, I am here to provide the little frosh with some tips.

  • Do check out all of the touristy attractions
  • NYU 2
  • Do some stuff alone. All alone.
  • Don't get wasted and get lost in the West Village
  • Do figure out the best places to eat nearby
  • Don't wear sweats to class - ever.
  • Do open your mind to other cultures and types of people.
  • Don't let club promoters take advantage of you.
  • Do sneak into Fat Cat with your friends and watch live and jazz and play pool
  • Don't hang out in the basement of Bobst library
  • Do figure out where you fit in.
  • Topics of conversation
  • Good luck little freshies
