'Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful' was Paloma's debut album released back in September 28, 2009. She co-wrote the song in UK, Sweden, and the United States but recorded it in London. Remaining on the UK Albums Chart for sixteen weeks, the album debuted at number 14 and later peaked at number 9. She spent about 6 months promoting the album, by appearing as a guest on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, having "Stone Cold Sober" as the back- track for a Rimmel commercial starring Lily Cole and the B-side, and hosting an album artwork competition with BBC Blast.
