Iris and MoMA
In 2006, Harold Kodam, curator of the Costume Institute at the Metroplitan Museum of Art curated an exhibition celebrating Iris's wardrobe. Rara Avis: Selections from the Iris Barrel Apfel Collection showcased full accessorized ensembles from the 1950's to present as styled by Iris as well as individual accessories ranging from vintage to the exotic to couture.
