The night began with cocktails, as the well-heeled guests gradually trickled in. Artists and art collectors had a strong presence: in typical fashion Nate Lowman paid no attention to the dress code and showed up in a plaid shirt and jeans, but was was jovial enough to play it off. Maurizio Catellan traded up his incredible 'Eat Shit N Die' jacket he sported at the Visionaire party a few weeks back for a sharp suit. The renowned artist, however, maintained a bit of his kookiness when he made a buzzing noise like a bee as he swerved through the crowded room. Sofia Coppola looked glamorous with husband and Phoenix frontman Thomas Mars, though they both kept a low profile. That didn't last long, as Jeff Koons arrived and posed for dozens of pictures with Coppola as well as Drew Barrymore and Naomi Campbell.
