Project Perpetual Inaugural Dinner & Auction

The crowd then shifted to the dining area, and was quickly taken by the sculpture which was situated in the middle of the room, where the fountain normally is. As a succulent dinner of wild mushroom risotto and filet de bison was served, legendary auctioneer Simon de Pury got on the stage to set the main event off. The first item up for auction was a Birkin bag owned by HRH Princess Caroline of Hanover, which sold for $600,000 to a very generous bidder. Bags owned by Marc Jacobs, Sofia Coppola, Almine Ruiz-Picasso, and more were auctioned off as well. Project Perpetual Inaugural Dinner & Auction [Photo by Neil Rasmus/BFAnyc.com]
