Slide #4

Founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal and Craig Hatkoff in 2001 following the attacks on the World Trade Center, the Tribeca Film Festival helps filmmakers reach the broadest possible audience, and has screened more than 1,300 films from more than 80 countries since its first edition in 2002. The purpose of the festival was originally to spur the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan through bringing together the film industry and storytelling. Since then it has established itself for being a diverse international film festival that supports both emerging and established directors, actors, and filmmakers in general.
