In New York, The Frick Collection's annual Garden Party is as much a sign of spring as the Park Avenue tulips.

This year's soirée - one of the last to be held in the museum's temporary home on Madison Avenue - saw, as always, a parade of guests striking poses and snapping pics in front of the Fragonards. Perhaps the biggest perk of being a museum member, you see, is the privilege of being able to take photos in the galleries without being hounded by security guards.

Also a popular backdrop? Nicolas Party and Rosalba Carriera, a new special installation inspired by a volume from the popular Frick Diptych book series.

In between shoots, guests mingled, sipping cocktails (the Desolas Mezcal 'Spring Awakening' was a particular hit) to the sounds of jazz quartet The Flail.
