For uptown art patrons and social scene regulars, the Frick Collection's Autumn Dinner stands out as a triple-starred soiree on the seasonal calendar. Like all of the Frick's annual affairs, it's a guaranteed gorgeous scene glittering with the who's who of philanthropists raising a glass  - and integral funds - for one of New York's most beloved institutions.

As the historic Henry Clay Frick mansion, permanent home of the collection, continues to undergo renovation, this year's event was held for the second time at the equally impressive Gilded Age treasure, the Metropolitan Club.

Stepping out in their shimmering black tie best (sparkles and sequins seemed to be the evening's common theme), guests gathered in the Great Hall for cocktails and bubbly beneath the grand marble staircase and gold coffered ceiling, with fall florals and photo ops aplenty.

After catching up between camera flashes and bites of hors d'oeuvres, attendees took their seats in the lavishly-appointed ballroom for the night's highlight - a glamorous dinner celebrating the museum and this year's honored guest, Marina Kellen French.

An influential supporter of the arts throughout the city, and a member of the Frick's Director’s Circle since 2013, Ms. French was lauded for her contributions and presented with a commemorative silver tray from Christofle. Safe to say she stole the show, not least of all due to her fabulous ensemble.
