Farm-to-table? Snooze. Farm-to-bar? Now we're talking.
Last weekend the country's first (and only) farm-to-bar cocktail fest returned to New York for the fourth year, and it was full of floral looks and botanical booze. Held al fresco at the always lush Foundry space in Long Island City, Secret Summer saw seasonal sips from Suntory Whisky Toki, Hangar 1 Vodka, Brockmans Gin, Tanteo Tequila, and more, along with sweet and savory bites from Areppas, The Choripan, Sophie's Cuban, San Matteo, Wisefish Poke, Mama’s Margarita Salsa, My/Mo Mochi Ice Cream and Van Leeuwen.
Produced by Tyler Hollinger of HighLife Productions, Andrew Maturana from RAPT NY and Alison DuVal from The Foundry, Secret Summer celebrates the ideology of "sustainable mixology," which utilizes raw, peak-season ingredients sourced from local farms paired with the best quality spirit brands on the market.
Man v. Food host Casey Webb was on-hand, as were a range of musical performers and a flower crown truck.
The event proved so magical that it inspired a proposal!
