Catellan also wore a jacket emblazoned with the words 'Shit N Die' on the back, getting a double-take and a grin from observant guests. He was the perfect representation of Visionaire's desired incongruity for the party: the only food served was sugar cookies shaped like Baldessari's oblong shapes; the orchestra members played current pop songs like Beyonce's "Drunk In Love"; Samsung Galaxy selfies of guests were displayed on a screen that drew more attention than the art. All of this lent to a certain playfulness and irreverence that could only come from such tenured artists, who carved their way into high society, at a gilded-era building no less, just so they could poke fun at it.
