What is it about New York City that makes it so freaking cool? Is it standing in the very middle of the city that is the capital of the world, the shopping, the thrill of meeting a beautiful stranger at an unexpected time until their train stop is called, the parties, the "bright lights that make you feel brand new"?  The answer is, everything.

Last week we attended the coolest party toasting #NewYorkCool. It was a night of celebration, iconic style, and rock 'n' roll legends. The American house of leather, Coach, celebrated its 75th Anniversary in the Meatpacking District, highlighting the best of the city and its timeless sense of style.

The 75th milestone celebration showcases a new book from Coach, titled A Story of New York City Cool. The book features collections of raw, gritty, and majestic, photos of New York City’s street life, skyline and emotional portraits of Coach icons, muses, and all around cool kids, from Iris Apfel to Chloe Grace Moretz.

Hosted by Coach Creative Director, Stuart Vevers, and Interview Magazine Editorial Director, Fabien Baron, the event saw guests greeted with glasses of champagne as they walked in to Milk Studios and marveled at the riveting, vintage photographs displayed across the studio floor.

We had the lovely pleasure of speaking to Stuart to get an exclusive for what's in store next for the Coach brand. He's very excited for what's to come, and although it's too top secret to share, he guarantees it will be thrilling and unexpected, as were past Coach collaborations with Mickey Mouse and PacMan. Stuart was sharing with us his favorite New York City cool spots, such as the High Line, which he walks every morning to work, when our time was interrupted by none other than the iconic Miss Debbie Harry. Casual.

Debbie and Stuart were attached at the hip throughout the night, sharing laughs and greeting fellow fashion icons in attendance, such as the incredible stylist to celebrities, Miss June Ambrose. At the end of the night all the Coach cool kids rocking head to toe leather pieces were gifted a copy of Coach's A Story Of New York City Cool, and an iconic photograph from the collection. The party was definitely one for the books!
