In a bright, white space, set in front of a mural of pink and cream-colored peonies, one by one we were greeted with ensembles of lace, blocks of pastel gingham and several ladylike embellishments – even feathers. Although de la Renta incorporated trends such as cropped tops and high-low hemlines in this collection, his renowned feminine touches remained.
