Why: Paper is known for major parties, but celebrating 30 years was something special itself. Many famed culture writers have spent time at the magazine, and downtown Manhattan was certainly shaped by the magazine, so it came as no surprise that they would throw a wild, edgy, distinguished event. The magazine became the first to throw a party at the unopened Space Ibiza club, where they brought in a diverse crowd reminiscent of a club in the 1980s, and added a performance by the acerbic yet alluring Brooke Candy.
