Known for their unsettling and provocative beauty looks, Hood by Air did not disappoint the audience with their NYFW presentation this year. Along with bandaged fingertips and zig-zag parted hair, the models walked down the runway with a deconstructed look: unblended contouring. Contouring… Sound familiar? Perhaps designer Shayne Oliver purposely poked fun at this year’s latest fashion trend. What may seem like a fashion week fail points towards a bigger picture - perhaps the trend needs to go?
