Christian Louboutin and Dita Von Teese
The illustrious French shoemaker, who has been linked to the drool-worthy red soles for more than 20 years, may seem too hoighty-toighty, high fashion to appreciate a good striptease. Weren't we pleasantly surprised, then, to hear about Louboutin's absolute adoration of busty burlesque star Dita Von Teese?
Besides creating custom (and yes, red-soled!) ballet shoes for the dancer, Louboutin also enlisted Von Teese to help launch his 20th anniversary exhibit at London's Design Museum last year. He has said of the siren,
"Dita is the ultimate showgirl and top of my list of muses...Some people are naturally sophisticated and Dita's sophistication comes from inside her."
